This position has job functions that must be executed within specific geographic locations. The official duty station is a federal facility, leased space, or an alternative worksite (typically the employee’s home) within the specified geographic area. If you are selected for this position, you will be expected to reside within the geographic area listed on this announcement within 45 days. The incumbent works with assigned customer agencies in understanding their specific business needs, consulting, and advising on the most effective and efficient means of procuring the services and products to meet their specific business needs. The incumbent performs a variety of activities to recommend and influence the use of Federal Acquisition Services (FAS) products and services.
Under the administrative direction of the supervisor and with a wide latitude of independent judgment, represents the FAS in all matters relating to the provisions of business opportunities and best value solutions to support defense, civilian, state, local, tribal and territories governments and other industry stakeholders.
Identifies areas where FAS can provide essential contracting solutions by providing procurement data and data analysis as well as encouraging the use of GSA resources.
Leverages educational, analytical and communications tools to use with customer agencies.
When interfacing with both internal and external contacts/customers, the incumbent displays the attributes of professionalism, honesty, integrity and courtesy, to not only employees and supervisors, but also to vendors and customer agencies.

The GS-13 salary range starts at $117,962 per year. If you are a new federal employee, your starting salary will likely be set at the Step 1 of the grade for which you are selected.
To qualify, you must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level or higher in the Federal service.
Specialized experience is advising and consulting with customers on the procurement of multiple services and products in order to meet their organizational and business needs. This experience must include educating and advising customers on a variety of acquisition and procurement vehicles; planning and executing established customer support goals; establishing and maintaining customer relationships; preparing and conducting customer briefings, seminars, and site visits; and independently analyzing customer budget, spend data, and market trends in order to develop acquisition strategies and provide recommendations.
This job does not have an education qualification requirement.
