About the Position:
This position is with the Department of Defense Education Activity in the Pacific West District and is part of the USAG Humphreys Schools Community. The purpose of this position is to perform office automation work, including word processing, and a variety of clerical functions.
Federal employees in Camp Humphreys, Korea are currently entitled to receive a 25% Post Allowance (COLA) in addition to the base salary.

In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. General Experience: One year of general experience. General experience is progressively responsible clerical, office, or other work that indicates ability to acquire the particular knowledge and skills needed to perform the duties of the position to be filled, such as: utilizing office automation equipment to develop professional correspondence; organizing office files or records; and responding to and/or directing customer inquiries.

Education:
Two years of education above the high school level obtained in an accredited business, secretarial, or technical school, junior college, college, or university.OR
Combination Education/Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then, divide your semester hours by 60. Add the two percentages.
Proficiency Required: This position requires a qualified typist. A qualified typist can type 40 words per minute based on a 5-minute sample with three or fewer errors.
You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas:
Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks may not be promoted more than 2 grades within the preceding 52 weeks.
FOREIGN EDUCATION: If you are using education completed in foreign colleges or universities to meet the qualification requirements, you must show the education credentials have been evaluated by a private organization that specializes in interpretation of foreign education programs and such education has been deemed equivalent to that gained in an accredited U.S. education program; or full credit has been given for the courses at a U.S. accredited college or university.
