We are seeking a Technical Program Manager (with a Security and Compliance focus) to join our team! This is a strategically critical role that will work cross-functionally and with external stakeholders to ensure that Rescale delivers as quickly and efficiently to an ambitious Security and Compliance roadmap. 

At Rescale, this means you will work on and impact:

  • Developing and managing security and compliance programs to ensure timely execution towards attaining and maintaining the relevant industry standards.

  • Collaborate with the Security and Compliance team to manage audits and assessments.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate security and compliance gaps and ensure that these are resolved well in time.

  • Collaborate with the Security and Compliance team to manage relationships with external auditors and regulators.

  • Collaborate with Product, Engineering and Sales teams to define and quantify roadmap trade-offs required to accommodate compliance efforts.

What we're looking for:

  • 5+ years of experience managing complex compliance programs in a fast-moving environment

  • Experience collaborating cross-functionally with Engineering, Product, Security, Operations, Legal and Sales teams.

  • Expertise in at least one of the following compliance frameworks: FedRAMP Moderate and/or High, IL4-6.

  • Strong project management and organizational skills

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

  • Experience with US Federal Government certifications, such as FedRAMP and IL5.

  • Must be a US Person

Compensation packages at Rescale are determined based on candidate leveling and geographic location. The base salary for this position ranges from $153,600-232,430. Successful candidates will receive company equity in addition to the base salary listed in this description.

Problems we are Solving:

  • We're building a cloud orchestration framework to execute complex engineering workflows across multiple cloud providers.
  • We provide an additional layer of reliability, fault tolerance, and tuning for HPC applications which were not originally designed to run on cloud hardware.
  • We are helping engineering companies figure out the best way to incorporate machine learning algorithms into their design lifecycle.

  • Javascript - React/Angular
  • Python - Django Rest Framework
  • (Modern) Java - Dropwizard
  • Our core infrastructure runs on AWS. The compute clusters we run for customers are created on AWS, Azure, GCP, and IBM in the cloud, along with Bare Metal On-Premises data centers.

Our engineering team is broken up into smaller groups of 5-7 people with a combined full stack skill set. We try to keep meetings to a minimum: there is a daily standup and a weekly task estimation meeting. We have two week release cycles however developers are encouraged to push important features and bug fixes to production as needed. Writing clean, testable code is a point of emphasis and we use GitHub PRs to ensure a minimum quality bar and also to disseminate best practices and spread domain knowledge around.
