Location: RemoteRole Overview:

As an Intern - Backend Development at Scrut Automation, you will be part of our dynamic engineering team responsible for enhancing and maintaining our backend systems. This role offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience with a modern tech stack, contributing directly to a product that is reshaping how businesses approach information security and compliance.

Key Responsibilities: 

• Collaborate with senior developers to understand software requirements and translate them into scalable solutions.
• Participate in the design, development, testing, and deployment of backend services and APIs.
• Assist in optimizing and maintaining existing systems for improved performance and reliability.
• Contribute to code reviews, ensuring code quality, best practices, and adherence to coding standards.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams including front-end developers, product managers, and QA engineers to deliver high-quality features.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong understanding of backend development fundamentals with a focus on Node.js.
• Familiarity with RESTful API design and development.
• Basic understanding of databases (SQL and/or NoSQL) and proficiency in writing efficient queries.
• Knowledge of version control systems, preferably Git.
• Ability to work effectively in a remote environment, demonstrating excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Eagerness to learn and contribute in a fast-paced startup environment.
