Job Title: Software Engineer 2 -  VB.NET/C#

Job Summary:
As a Software Engineer 2 specializing in Legacy VB.NET and C#, you will play a crucial role in the maintenance, enhancement, and support of our existing software systems. Your primary responsibilities will include collaborating with cross-functional teams, analyzing requirements, designing solutions, and implementing changes in legacy VB.NET and C# codebases. This role requires a strong foundation in software development, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work with legacy technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

Software Development:
Design and develop high-quality software solutions using VB.NET and C#.
Collaborate with stakeholders to understand requirements and implement effective solutions.

Code Maintenance:
Perform ongoing maintenance, updates, and optimizations to existing codebases.
Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve issues to ensure software stability.

Code Analysis and Design:
Analyze system requirements and propose effective software solutions.
Design and implement software changes, adhering to coding standards and best practices.

Collaboration:
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including QA, product management, and other development teams.
Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality and knowledge sharing.

.Net Technology Expertise:
Demonstrate expertise in RVB.NET and C# technologies.
Stay updated on industry best practices and emerging technologies related to legacy systems.

Quality Assurance:
Collaborate with QA teams to ensure the quality of software releases.
Participate in the identification and resolution of software defects.

Technical Support:
Provide technical support to internal teams and end-users as needed.
Investigate and resolve issues reported in the production environment.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
Proven experience in software development using VB.NET and C#.
Strong understanding of legacy systems and the ability to work with existing codebases.
Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and issue tracking tools.
Knowledge of software development best practices and design patterns.
Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with migration projects from legacy systems to modern technologies.
Familiarity with databases (e.g., SQL Server) and ORM frameworks.
Knowledge of web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript).
Certifications in VB.NET or C# development.
