As a Civil Rights Analyst you will be responsible for investigating and analyzing civil rights enforcement issues. Typical duties of the position are as follows:

This position has job functions that must be executed within a specific geographic location in which GSA has a presence. The official duty station is a federal facility or leased space, or an alternative worksite (typically the employee’s home). Positions include routine telework work arrangements. The duty station of the selectee for this position can be anywhere in the U.S., Including its territories and possessions, that is geographically specific to one of GSA's offices and located within approximately a 50 miles radius of a GSA office. The duty station will be determined upon selection and must be a physical address (not a PO Box) located within approximately a 50 miles radius of a GSA office. Positions include routine telework work arrangements which may require routine reporting to the designated GSA office.

The GS-12 salary range starts at $86,962.00per year. If you are a new federal employee, your starting salary will likely be set at the Step 1 of the grade for which you are selected.
To qualify, you must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 level or higher in the Federal service.
Specialized experience is defined as experience supporting senior Civil Rights Analyst in developing and conducting evaluation projects concerning the implementation of civil rights and Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) policies and practices.
The GS-13 salary range starts at $103,409.00 per year. If you are a new federal employee, your starting salary will likely be set at the Step 1 of the grade for which you are selected.
To qualify, you must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level or higher in the Federal service.
Specialized experience is defined as experience investigating and analyzing civil rights enforcement issues; studying federal workforce data; developing and implementing advanced social science research to identify potential root causes that may limit employment opportunities; studying and preparing reports showing the equal employment opportunity data and trends; and developing and drafting related reports, correspondence, and other written material.
Bargaining Unit Status: - This position is ineligible for the bargaining unit

1. Knowledge of political, social and/or economic theories and principles that are directly related to civil rights issues and problems being studied.
1a. Knowledge of civil rights and EEO laws including their application to all areas of American society and of the Federal agencies responsible for enforcement of those laws.
1b. Knowledge of laws, court decisions, and issues related to civil rights and EEO program areas, and ability to apply this knowledge to a variety of difficult and complex research, evaluation, or consulting assignments.
2. Skill in written and verbal communication to prepare reports, prepare documents, policies, and procedures, and to solicit and present information and gain the cooperation of others.
3. Knowledge and skill to conduct and report research on broad and complex civil rights issues or questions.
3a. Knowledge of social science research methods and principles to plan, carry out, and evaluate research into current civil rights and EEO issues.
4. Skill in the use of statistical software, database management software, spreadsheets, and complaint tracking systems to produce complex reports including the EEOC 462 and MD-715 Reports
