Software Engineer - Development Support

Position Description

You’d be joining the development Support team, with a primary focus on supporting our best-in-class Clinical Data Exchange Products.  We’re looking for someone with experience with C#, .NET Core, SQL server and Azure.  Day to day activities include writing and executing SQL scripts, PowerShell, reviewing logs and Azure Application Insights, and research and analysis.  You may be expected to interact with outside clients as well as research and resolve production issues as they arise.  When issues arise, reprocessing will be needed as well as writing bugs for the Development Team.

What will your job look like:

Responsibilities

  • Following runbooks as well as writing them for new implementations
  • Execute/update SQL scripts
  • Write and execute PowerShell scripts
  • Maintain 99.9%+ availability in a high-traffic, 24/7 environment
  • Timely and accurate reporting of production system status as required
  • Troubleshoot production issues
  • Troubleshoot Azure-based components including functions and services
  • Manage Azure blob storage accounts and containers, tokens and certificates
  • Collaborate with Developers, QA, and Business Analyst teams
  • Follow best practices based on SAFe principles and support SAFe with Agile Central and TFS
  • Ownership of assigned software and non-software deliverables
  • Escalate product issues and suggest product improvements in a timely fashion
  • Perform a wide range of other ancillary duties in support of production runs and other company initiatives as necessary
  • Be a part of our scalability strategy
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively to management
  • Organizational and excellent communication skills

Qualifications

Academic and Professional Qualifications:

  • Successful completion of a bachelor’s degree or relevant technical experiences

Experience

  • 2-5 years’ Development and Production Support experience
  • Proficient in C#, .NET Core, and Web API
  • Agile experience writing bugs, participating in daily huddles, sprint planning, retrospectives, etc.
  • Knowledge of Azure concepts and resources including storage, services, and security
  • Experience following operations runbooks
  • Served as Support role in a SaaS environment 
  • Be able to work with little day to day supervision with adherence to standards
  • Understanding of Microsoft Operating System is required
  • Familiar with servers and services for Azure infrastructure and PaaS solutions
  • Experience with scripting in PowerShell, JavaScript or other scripting language
  • Knowledge of healthcare with relative experience in: Claims data, Medicare, Quality (5-Star, HEDIS) and Medicaid is a plus
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills

  • none

Working Arrangements

  • regular work hours from Monday through Friday or as defined by assignment requirements.  Occasional weekend monitoring.
  • This is a remote/virtual position.
