-Incumbent provides a broad scope of office administrative assistance and program management support for the Information Management and Technology Office (IMTO).
-Serves as the initial point-of-contact for all questions, information and problem resolution in the areas of budget and accounting, agreements, travel, human resources, files management, correspondence preparation and control, time and attendance, office automation systems, and purchasing/procurement. Provides administrative support to group managers as assigned.
- Receives, reads, and controls all incoming correspondence and reports directed to the office and initiates actions necessary for its proper disposition. Maintains control records and follow-up measures on incoming correspondence and action documents to ensure prompt handling. Independently prepares responses to inquiries on routine matters.
-Reviews all formal outgoing correspondence for proper format, grammar, punctuation, etc., in accordance with agency correspondence guidelines.
-Makes arrangements for meetings and conferences, schedules and prepares travel orders and vouchers for the Supervisory Information Technology (IT) Specialist and other staff.
-Maintains the Chief and Deputy Chief's calendar, scheduling appointments and conferences without prior approval, and seeing that the Supervisory IT Specialist(s) is fully briefed on the matters to be considered before the scheduled meeting.
-Responsible for assessing office supply and equipment needs, preparing requisitions necessary and tracking status of supply and equipment orders.

GS-7: To qualify at the GS-7, you must possess one year of full-time specialized experience equivalent in difficulty and complexity to at least the GS-6 level in federal service having demonstrated experience.
GS-7 Specialized Experience: Specialized Experience is defined as: Experience finalizing correspondence in addition to at least three of the following: 1) Providing a variety of administrative support services to enable efficient operation of a program office; 2) using computerized systems for example: entering time/attendance, making travel arrangements, validating travel authorizations and travel vouchers; or initiating purchase requests; entering and validating information into a financial management system; 3) preparing a variety of forms and other administrative paperwork; 4) performing appointment scheduling and updating calendars for senior management; or 5) performing research for senior management.
